Birthday Onesie

I’m celebrating birthdays this week with free birthday printables by Jen Goode over at 100 Directions! She designed these bright, colorful printables – and they’re perfect for crafting! So I invited my crafty friends to play along and create with these fun birthday printables. You can go check out yesterday’s birthday crafts, and after I share this fun birthday onesie, I’ll be showing you the great teen birthday banner that Bits of everything created, and the adorable decorated cupcake that Jen Goode whipped up!

First, I’ll show you my simple birthday onesie. This project is so fast and easy, you won’t believe how simple it comes together! And there is practically no mess! No paint to open, paintbrushes to wash, or glittery bits that get all over the place. Fast to make and fast to put away – my ideal craft.

To make the birthday onesie you need:
Baby Onesies (I went with an 18-months size for a 1st birthday party)
Avery T-shirt Transfers for Inkjet Printers
Printer
Scissors
Hot Iron

Start by laying out your onesie. It is best if it is pre-washed, but follow the instructions on your iron on paper. You’ll want to print out the printable onto the printable iron-on paper. VERY IMPORTANT: If you are using any words, make sure you are printing the sheet in REVERSE. Otherwise, once you iron them on, the words will be backwards.

Cut out the pieces you want to use, and lay them on the front of the onesie.

Follow the manufacturer instructions to fuse them in place, then peel away the paper backing.

That’s it! Super simple, right?
