Super Quick Crystal Earrings

Welcome to the launch of Moore Craft Time! This blog is all about bringing you quick, simple, and fun crafts. If you’re like me, you’ve got a creative streak that needs to be exercised on a regular basis. But, with only 24 hours in a day, sometimes there doesn’t seem to be any “me” time left. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
These earrings are a perfect example of what Moore Craft Time is all about – cute and quick! Just because they are simple and handmade doesn’t mean they can’t look pretty and professional.

Need a cute accessory to accent an outfit? These come together super fast… and with just a few simple supplies. You could make these in the morning before heading off to work, or right before heading out the door to an event.
Supplies: Start by grabbing 2 sets of pliers, some jump rings (found in the jewelry section of any craft store), some pretty crystals (mine are flower shaped), and a set of earring hooks. A towel or cloth to work on helps your crystals and beads stay in place. I had a bag with all different sizes of rings, I chose to stick with the smallest size I had for this project.
To open a jump ring, you want to use two sets of pliers, and twist one towards your body, and one away from it. You do NOT want to pull one to the right and one to the left. This distorts the circle shape, and makes it nearly impossible to get it truly circular again.
This is what the ring looks like if you’ve done it incorrectly, or correctly.
Attach the ring to the crystal like this. Add another jump ring, then close the one you just opened. Keep adding more rings until you’re happy with the length.

Attach the first strand to your earring hook, then make a second one that is two jump rings shorter, and attach it as well. Your first earring is done!
Make the second earring the same way, making sure that you keep the same number of rings as the first earring.

All done! Now I can wear them to work today! Yay!!

Until next time…
