David Tutera Card Making GIVEAWAY!

When I launched this blog a week ago, I had no idea how phenomenal the response would be. I loved the re-design and new name of the blog, but had no idea how much quick crafting would resonate with the online community. I’d love to reach out and give each of you a hug for supporting me. Unfortunately, that isn’t possible, so instead I’d like to offer these David Tutera card-making supplies to one lucky winner.

 30 Minute Crafts David Tutera Giveaway

You have probably seen these card making supplies around already. They are genius. You pick a card base, add a decorative layer, then add embellishments, and you’re done. In just minutes you have a card you made yourself… and for all the non-card makers out there I can tell you that regardless of your level of experience, the finished cards look awesome!

I’m giving away the supplies pictured above. This includes card bases, layers, and embellishments. The giveaway will be live from now until Friday November 9th, 2012 at midnight. I’ll pick a winner on Saturday, and contact that person. They will have 72 hours to respond with their mailing address before I pick an alternate winner.

Live fast crafting {video}

Yesterday I had the opportunity to do some live crafting with friend and fellow quick craft enthusiast Angie, from The Country Chic Cottage. Though she lives across the country, we were able to craft together via Google Hangout! We taped our hangout so that you can craft along if you like:

This is our first time doing a live craft, and we had a great time! We’ll be doing some more live crafting Thursday November 8th at 4pm PST. I’ll be posting the video here on the blog so that you can watch LIVE. This is part of a whole week of crafty hangouts that a group of crafty bloggers are participating in… check out all the details here, and be sure to come back Thursday at 4!

Cut Glass Goes Modern {feature}

When I see cut glass, the first word that comes to mind is NOT modern. Generally, cut glass looks dated – which is probably why you can find pieces of cut glass in nearly any thrift store you walk into. Shannon over at Madigan Made has modernized cut glass, taking this blast from the past up a notch to a bold, modern piece with a pop of color. Make sure you check out her tutorial to learn how she made it happen.

Scrap Busting Christmas Tree Ornaments {feature}

I have two baskets full of fabric scraps. I’m not kidding. And with this fun and easy tree ornament tutorial from Heather at the Sewing Loft, I could turn all those scraps into ornaments – for my tree, as gifts, to adorn packages, and to tuck into plates of Christmas cookies! She uses felt for the trunks, but ribbon would work as well. Start stitching up some tree ornaments… I bet you can’t make just one!

Homemade Hand Warmers

As the temperature continues to drop, I always look for ways to keep warm – and to keep my kiddos warm! At home, I turn to heating pads and electric blankets. But when we leave the house, I have to find more creative options. These cute hand warmers would be perfect tucked into coat pockets to warm cold fingers, or to pre-warm winter mittens, and especially to keep a child warm in the car until the heat can kick in! The hand warmer tutorial comes with two great printables – a printable template for the shapes, and printable tags to make these perfect for gift giving!
