Next week is Thanksgiving, and I am officially behind. How is it 5.5 weeks away and I’m already behind? Ummm.. how is it that Christmas is only 5.5 weeks away!? I have lists to make, gifts to buy, gifts to make, a tree to trim… oh my! And I absolutely want to do something nice for our neighbors. We have some wonderful neighbors. A jar full of treats like this would be the perfect gift… especially because it takes almost no time at all to make!

Poured Paint Glass Ornament

Do you see those glass ornaments at the craft store and wonder what to do with them? Maybe you even have several glass ornaments lying around and you’re unsure of what to do with them? I’m over at My Very Educated Mother today showing you how you can add a little paint to these ornaments for a fun (and quick) holiday ornament!

All you need is paint (I used Martha Stewart’s new glass paints – they dry nice and bright, and seem to almost glow through the glass) some coordinating ribbon, and your ornament.

Book Shell iPad Cover {feature}

If you’re giving an iPad, Kindle, tablet, or other similar device for the holidays, whip up one of these simple-yet-awesome technology covers out of an old book. This is a classic marriage of old and new, and will surely get a lot of compliments! I now really want to make one of these for my Kindle. I love the feel of holding a book, but the convenience of the Kindle. This satisfies both needs for me.

Elongated Christmas Wreath

Traditional Christmas wreaths are round. And although this wreath has round components, it is not your traditional wreath. It can also be completed in about 15 minutes… giving you a fun wreath in less time than it will take you to wrap gifts, bake cookies, or just about anything else you’re planning this holiday season!Elongated Door Wreath

It also uses just a few supplies. I found these packs of mini grapevine wreaths in the Target Dollar Spot. Each pack has 2 wreaths, for just $1 each! I combined that with some ribbon I had on hand, and a glue gun, and I had all the makings of this simple wreath!

I cut my ribbon into 8″ pieces. I looped each piece of ribbon between 2 mini wreaths, and then hot glued the ends together, overlapping the ends about an inch. If you have fancy hot-glue-finger-protectors, this is a great time to use them. If you don’t, a clothespin is a good substitute.

Keep connecting your mini wreaths until your elongated wreath is the length you would like, and you’re all set!
