Halloween Printable Memory Game

I’m having more fun with the Halloween printables from Jen Goode! Today I’m playing with her Cupcake toppers, and I converted them into a fun memory game!

These are super easy to make! Just print these jpegs onto the front and back of a piece of cardstock:

and then cut out!

Shuffle and place Boo-side-up to play a fun Halloween Memory Game with your kiddos!

There are so many fun things you can create with Jen Goode’s Free Halloween Printables.

You can see that Valerie from Occasionally Crafty used the same cupcake topper as a witch hat embellishment!

Marie from Blooming Homestead used the Simple Popcorn Boxes.

Jennifer from Hydrangea Hippo made the cute Halloween banner.

And Laura from Pet Scribbles used the mini Halloween Banner to create a whole Halloween Display with crows!

Halloween Box Decor

I love all of the Potion Bottles that people put out as decor. If you’re making some cute potion bottle mantle decor this year, consider adding this fun Halloween box. It give you some different texture, shape, and height to your bottles. And, with the awesome Printable Labels that Jen Goode created, making your potion bottles (and boxes) will be super easy!

All this week I’ll be sharing fun and fast crafts you can make using the free Halloween Printable sets created by my friend Jen Goode, and I’ll be featuring projects from my other crafty friends using the same printables!

To make this little potion box you’ll need:
Wooden Box (from the wood section at the craft store)
Minwax Wood Stain (in Onyx)
Rag
Potion Label Printable
Distress ink (I used Antique Linnen)
Mod Podge Matte
Paint brush

I stained my box with the Minwax Onyx stain when I made my Simple Stained Halloween Candlesticks. It only takes a couple minutes, and then you can let them dry.

I printed out the potion bottle labels, then tore out the one I wanted to use. I like the torn edge vs. a clean, cut edge.

Place right-side-down on the distress ink. Press down to soak in ink. Blow on it to dry.

Put a coat of Mod Podge on the box, then place the label down, then cover with another coat of Mod Podge.

Allow to dry, and your potion ingredient box is done! Make more of different sizes, and make your mantel decor or centerpiece… or pair with skull..

Simple Spider Snacks

I’ve been sharing fun and fast crafts all week long, and today, I thought I’d share a craft that is also a snack! These cute little spider snacks are fun and easy to make, and yummy to eat as well!

To make these spider candies, you’ll need:
Mini Peppermint patties
Pretzel Sticks
Tic Tacs
Sharp Knife

Start by cutting the pretzels and the tic tacs in half. Then carefully insert the pretzels into the sides of the peppermint patties.

Add the tic tac halves as eyes.

Your spider candies are done… and ready to be a sweet treat!

No-Sew Magician Costume

This no-sew magician costume was incredibly easy to make. Even the top hat. And the bow tie. And the wand. All made without any sewing! If you’re looking for a fast and easy magician costume, then this is the perfect craft for you! This costume is made in 3 different parts – the hat, the shirt, and the wand. Each part will take you 30 minutes or less to make!
And even better, I teamed up with over 80 bloggers to share a TON of different costume ideas! It was orchestrated by Jamie Dorobek and her handmade Halloween costume site, Really Awesome Costumes . To help you get ready for Halloween, we’re sharing tons of easy ideas to craft up DIY Halloween costumes for everyone including your pets, family costumes, and even a trunk or treat idea! Be sure to scroll down to the end of the post to see the full round-up!

Supplies:

Black Felt
Hot Glue
2 sizes of plates
White Shirt
Sharpie Marker
Dowel
Glitter tape
Jacket, black pants, black shoes.

We’ll start with the hat. Trace a plate onto the felt. Cut 2. Trace the smaller plate on the inside.

Cut a 6″ tall piece of felt, as long as the circumference of your smaller circle, plus 1 inch. Fringe the bottom, about 3?4″ apart, and about 1″ deep cuts.

Glue the fringe to the inside of one layer of the donut-shaped felt piece.

Glue the other donut piece on top to cover the fringe bits.

Repeat with the top of the hat, using the circles cut out from the inside of the donut shaped piece.

Cover with the second circle, and the hat is done!

For the shirt, draw a line just off-center, and draw on buttons.

Cut a strip of felt, and cut notches to make a bow.

Wrap a smaller strip of felt around the middle, then glue the bow into place at the collar of the shirt.

The wand is easy! Cut a dowel to about 6″, then color with the Sharpie.

Wrap some glitter tape on one end. The wand… and your costume… is done!

Brad Spiders

Sometimes, I come up with craft ideas that are so obnoxiously simple, I’m afraid to share them. Because, really… these brad spiders are super simple to make, I don’t really need to explain it, right? But then I think that it is great to have some super fast crafts on hand. Especially versitile ones, like these spiders. Using simple paper-fasteners, you can make a bunch of these spiders to use as table scatter. You can attach these spiders to earring posts or a ring blank to make jewelry… once you’ve whipped up a couple, the possibilities are endless!

And, I’m sharing these simple spiders as part of Craft Lightning week, where Angie from the Country Chic Cottage and I are sharing fun and fast crafts all week long. And I can’t think of many crafts faster than this!

Supplies:
Brads (paper fasteners) – sparkly ones from the crafts section, if you can find them
Hot Glue
White Paint
Paintbrush

Start by opening your paper fastener.

Glue them together using hot glue, slightly askew so that you can see all 4 legs. Yes, I know that spiders have 8 legs… but these simple spiders are super cute with only half of their appendages, so I’m going to run with it…

Oh, and since hot glue is HOT, and the paper fasteners are metal – be careful not to burn yourself! The metal gets hot fast when it comes into contact with the glue.

Use a couple small dabs of paint to add eyes.

Your spiders are done! Super simple, right?

If you wanted to get fancy, you could glue a piece of fishing line or monofillament between the layers as you glue them together, and then you have a mini spider you could hang… maybe from the handle of a co-worker’s coffee cup?

Bead Spiders

I’m sharing another fun and fast spider craft today! These little bead spiders are super simple to make, and you can add them to all kinds of Halloween decor – table settings, wreaths, jewelry… whatever you like!

This quick and easy spider craft is part of Craft Lightning week – Angie from The Country Chic Cottage, along with our friends from around the web, are again sharing fast and easy crafts that you can make in 15 minutes or less! To make this little spider you need:
Bead with large hole
Beading Wire
Wire Cutters
Round-nosed pliers
White paint & paintbrush

Cut the wire into 3″ lengths. You’ll need four.

Insert the wires into the hole in the bead, and bend in place. Use the round-nosed pliers to curve the ends of the wires to make feet.

Use the paint and paintbrush to add eyes.

Your bead spider is complete – make as many bead spiders as you like for your Halloween decor! And come back later today for more fun and fast Halloween crafts!
